Project Overview
During you course you will complete at least eight projects chosen from a huge range catering for every style and level of ability. You could be doing a simple arrangement for a solo instrument, orchestrating a film cue from a MIDI file and MP3 just as the professional do or producing a sampled mockup of a famous film theme.
Assignments are submitted as MP3 files. While we strongly encourage students to submit pdf of the score as well, this is a preference rather than a requirement. You upload your project through the website which is then assessed by a working film orchestrator or composer who will send you a detailed critique of your work.
The choice of projects allows students to follow their own path, specialising in classical, sampled or professional film orchestration if they wish.
Tutorial Credits
You start your course with 8 tutorial credits and every time you receive feedback on an assignment, you use one up. This gives you the flexibility to resubmit work if you wish, concentrate on one unit or pick and choose assignments that appeal and inspire you.
If you wish to do more projects, you can buy additional tutorial credits in packs of 4.

Student Sessions
Ever wondered what your music would sound like performed by a professional musician? Well you can find out with our student sessions. It gives you the opportunity to have a short piece (not more than 3 minutes) recorded by a session player at a fraction of the normal cost £49/ $75 a time.
Students will get a rehearsal and two complete recorded takes plus the comments of the player on the arrangement. Recordings cannot be used for commercial purposes but can be used on your demo reel.
Student sessions are organised on an ad hoc basis throughout the year depending on demand.
